I know that it's a little bit early for a Christmas wish list so I'm making one for the summer. I'm hoping to get one or two of these bad boys by this summer or hopefully soon. I'm a huge fan of books particularly technology and business and when people usually asks me what I want for Christmas, I would tell them to get me a book. A book is pretty cheap but at the same time, informative--so in a way, it provides extra value. As of current, I'm around 3-4 books behind on my reading at home and I still have to find ways to go through them. For my current wish list, I'm not including any books since I don't need anymore of them and until I finish the ones that I have, I promise myself not to get one any time soon (with the exception of the VB book that I just ordered a week prior :)).
My list by the way is in no particular order with some description on why I found them to be appealing.
- Garmin Nuvi 360
There are times when I need to find a direction for some random places. The feature that attracted me to this device is its capability to do hands-free phone calls via its bluetooth. If that's not convincing enough, it also has a built-in MP3 player that can read a SD media card, which can be optionally be purchased.
- Playstation 3, 40GB
As for the PS3, I've been longing on purchasing one ever since it came out and I have been patiently waiting for the price to drop. It has dropped quite a bit though from $600 to currently at $399, but the more I think about it, the games is probably that will kill me the most since new releases are tagged at $60 a piece. Although I'm not an avid video gamer, the blu-ray capability is also an attractive feature while Sony has built a good reputation for its success on PS2 consoles.
- Samsung 40-in 1080p LCD HDTV
Here's a toy that I'm still debating on whether I should just go for the almighty 50-inches for another $500-600 or settle for a visually-pleasing enough size of a 40" or 42". I have an old 32" television at home and any option that I take would definitely be a nice upgrade since I love watching DVD's.
- Kindle
This is probably more of a waste of money than anything but it sounds like it fit my needs pretty well in regards to reading more conveniently. It's a lightweight device that stores tons of books in its memory. Although that's fine and neat to have, I still consider myself as a traditional reader for which, I want to have the book in my hand. This is nice to have but more of an unnecessary toy to have.
- Logitech VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks
Since I work with multiple laptops, I just found this mouse to be a neat add-on since it has a very tiny receiver to begin with. I'm also impressed with the reviews that it received and most of all, the accuracy and the "feel" of the mouse. This is somewhat a cheaper device than the rest of the list but I thought that I would throw it in anyways since this is something that I also want.
